Xbox Son Racks Up $600 On Mom's Credit Card

OAK CREEK, WI — It's the kind of danger that just about any parent could have with a video game-playing child.
On July 19, Oak Creek police were contacted by a parent on the 10000 block of S. Austin St. in Oak Creek after the mother reported that her 12-year-old son had ordered approximately $600 in items on her credit card without her permission.

According to the report, the son purchased the items using his Xbox as well as his cell phone app Clash of Clans.

Since the discovery, the mother has cancelled her credit card and spoke with her bank. She told police she would also be contacting Supercell, the manufacturer of the game, to try and recoer the funds.
Police were advised by the mother that her son's phone had been taken away and that there would be "other punishments."
