• Football: Undefeated Panthers steamroll Montello on homecoming (gazettextra.com) — Palmyra-Eagle's undefeated Panthers thrilled homecoming fans in Palmyra with a 63-22 rout of Montello, powered by seven combined touchdowns from juniors Jake Rohda and Sebastian Brook. The team moved to 6-0 and now turns its attention to Saturday's road test at Delafield St. John's Northwestern Academies, kicking off at 2 p.m.
• Wisconsin reports first case of bird flu since March 2026 (blogspot.com) — Wisconsin has confirmed a new avian flu case at a large poultry farm in Barron County, the state's fifth outbreak this year. Earlier cases in Jefferson and Walworth counties, plus composting of dead birds, have already affected nearby communities like Palmyra, where residents have complained about strong odors from carcass disposal.
