$100K Bail Set for Man, 44, Accused of Having Sex With Girl, 15
Ozaukee County Sheriff's Department caught the Waukesha man after assuming identity of the 15-year-old girl.
Judge Tom Wolfgram set bail on Wednesday for the Waukesha man accused of having sex with a 15-year-old Ozaukee County girl at $100,000, despite requests from Attorney Adrian Renner for a more "reasonable bail."
Wolfgram cited the seriousness of the allegations against Kevin Conry, 120 Cambridge Ave., Waukesha, and the amount of time he faces in prison as reason for the high cash amount, and also ordered no contact with the victim of any kind.
Conry has lived in Wisconsin for the past 20 years and has been employed full-time for the past three, Renner said, in asking for a lower bond.

"He doesn’t net a large amount each month — he is in the process of a divorce and his home is in foreclosure, which is why his resources for bail are limited at this point," Renner said. Conry's wife filed for divorce in January, and his house went into foreclosure in November 2009, according to court records.
Conry also has a 17-year-old daughter living in the area, "so he does have ties to the community," she said.

Conry met the 15-year-old girl while using the social network site myYearbook.com, according to the criminal complaint. The two began exchanging flirtatious text messages which soon became sexual in nature.
The girl told Conry that she was only 15 years old, and he replied with a message that her age did not matter, according to the complaint. The two exchanged graphic text messages at the request of Conry, though he later denied that the pictures he sent were actually of him but rather photos that he got from the internet.
Conry met the 15-year-old at her parents' residence on April 21, where they allegedly engaged in sexual activity. On Sunday, Conry and the girl allegedly spent some time parked on the bluff in Port Washington.
On Monday, Detective Christy Knowles assumed the girl's identity, using her cell phone to continue communications with Conry. Knowles made arrangements to meet Conry at the Target in Grafton.
Conry was arrested at 7:15 p.m. Monday in the parking lot of Charcoal Grill in Grafton, in the same parking lot area as Target.
Conry admitted to meeting the girl on myYearbook.com, and admitted to knowing her age. He said he deleted any graphic pictures and denied any activity on the bluff, though he did admit to having intercourse at the girl's house earlier in April.
Conry faces four counts of sexual assault of a child under 16 years of age, one count of possession of child pornography and one count for use of a computer to facilitate a child sex crime.
If convicted on all charges, Conry faces up to 225 years in prison and fines of up to $600,000. His next court appearance is set for 10 a.m. Tuesday.
