Attendees, Businesses Rave About Experience at Kiss of Indulgence

More than 50 area businesses participated in the event that drew 1,100 women.

Yvette Murrie of Fredonia and Liz Collins of a township outside of Saukville  didn’t waste a minute at the Kiss of Indulgence ladies night out event on Tuesday.

Arriving at the event at its start — 5 p.m. — the two managed to visit every participating business, more than 50 total stops.

“I would definitely do this again next year,” claimed Murrie. “It was a blast.”

And the night wasn’t just a busy one for attendees — businesses also enjoyed the evening and all the foot traffic it brought.

“I thought it would slow down with the fashion show, but it didn’t,” said Elizabeth MacCrimmon, owner of , 125 W. Grand Ave. The Chocolate Chisel gave away chocolate samples as well as coupons and punch cards for their store.

“I’m glad that the event brought in old customers and people who had never been here,” she explained, noting that she hopes to see many of those faces return to the shop.

Those new and old faces added up to 1,100 women who headed to downtown Port Washington on Tuesday for the Kiss of Indulgence event hosted by the Port Washington Main Street Program.

The women each had “maps” that were meant to get stamped at each business in order to be eligible for prizes. A Netbook was high on the list of giveaways — sponsored by The Help Key, which set up shop in for the evening.

For Jenna Rench, a family physician out of Saukville with Columbia St. Mary’s, the night was about “bringing women together.”

“You can feel the electricity in the air,” she said.
