Lakeshore Lacrosse continues 4-year dominance over University School
Lakeshore Ripsharks have a familiar 2-1 week.

The Lakeshore Ripsharks lacrosse team beat a famliar drum on it's way to a 2-1 week. Lakeshore bracketed the week with an 18-4 landslide over outmatched USM and a 14-2 walk over a young Wauwatosa team. In the middle, the Ripsharks struggled in their 5th loss to a top 10 team.
On Monday, the Ripsharks traveled to University School and after a slow first quarter for Lakeshore, they took over and dominated every facet of the game. Quinten Zeigler, Riley Sellinger and David Brookman combined to win 20 of 26 faceoffs and the Ripsharks scooped up 32 loose balls to prevent USM from ever having the opportunity to mount a serious challenge.
John Jaekels led the Lakeshore scoring parade with six goals and an assist. Ziegler and Dan Wheeler each added a hat trick, with Ziegler adding two assists as well. Sellinger chipped in with two goals and an assist while Jake Hansen, Evan Heimerl, Michael Dobak, and Jack Wegman each found the back of the net once. Dakota Kwasny had an assist. Goalie Patrick Tucker was only forced to make 5 saves on the night.

On Wednesday the Ripsharks' woes against top 10 teams continued as they traveled to Kettle Moraine to take on the 7th ranked team in the state. Lakeshore held a 2-1 lead after one quarter. The momentum began to turn after Lakeshore took a dumb retaliatory penalty at the end of the first quarter and Kettle Moraine took a 4-2 lead into the half. Kettle Moraine dominated the third quarter and the Ripsharks couldn't overcome the deficit on the way to a 12-4 loss.
Ziegler once again had a successful night, winning 9 of 15 faceoffs, scooping four loose balls adding a goal. Hansen, Kwasny and Max Woody added the remaining goals. Jaekels added the lone assist of the night. Goalies Quinn Mooney and Tucker made 8 and 4 saves respectively.

On Friday night the Ripsharks headed to Wauwatosa West to take on the new Wauwatosa co-op team. The Ripsharks scoring came early and often enroute to an easy 14-2 win.
The Ripsharks controlled every aspect of the game. They outpaced Wauwatosa 14-4 on faceoffs, 54-18 on ground balls and 22-5 on shots on goal. The ground ball dirty work was led by Ziegler with 7, Sellinger and Riley Liegel with 6 each. Kwasny had 5 while Luke Zoromski and Grant Brogan each grabbed 4 loose balls and Wheeler, Patchen Tews, Alec Monaghan and Jaekels each had three.
Ripshark scoring was led by Kwasny and Jaekels who each had a hat trick. Sellinger, Brogan and Woody had 2 goals each. Hansen and Wheeler each had a single goal. Ziegler dished out 4 assists while Kwasny, Jaekels and Hansen each had one.
Mooney made one save in each of the first three quarters and Tucker faced no shots in the 4th.
The 11-5, 11th ranked Ripsharks play their final regular season game on Tuesday night at Shorewood High School against Kenosha. Game time is 8:00. Playoffs are scheduled to begin after Memorial Day, with opponents, times and locations to be determined.
