According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in September of 2010 there were 408,425 children in the foster care system waiting to be adopted into a loving family.
Thus this event will help sponsor not only children worldwide but in your own backyard. As of January 2011, there are 6,785 children in Wisconsin who are part of the foster care system.
