We Heart You — Iran, Israel Make Feelings Known on Facebook
Shout out to peace loving Israelis, Iranians and Americans — the people have the right to speak against war and live their lives in peace.
One of the most uplifting events I have seen in a long time is the Israeli Facebook page that claims, through a poster, that Israelis will not bomb Iran, and that they love Iran! The universal heart symbol is used — We <3 You.
Quickly an Iranian Facebook page countered the same ... again, We love You.
I have to say that, in my opinion, this sort of action is likely to be what will stem the tide of the next Middle East War, if anything will. The people who will pay the largest price for war, people like you and I, must voice our opinion to our government. If you think another three billion dollar war in the Middle East is crazy ... then speak up!

The history of western intervention in the Middle East, largely the U.S. and Britain, is largely unknown to the average American. It's easy to research, but we don't want to take the time.
Google "Mossadegh," if you care to begin to unravel it. Or British oil interests in the Middle East. Mossadegh was the first democratically elected president of Iran. In 1952, our CIA overthrew him. Why? He was on the road to nationalizing the oil. This is all well documented and simple to access. We brought in the Shah instead and he pretty much served our interests ... for this reason he was disrespected by many in the Middle East.

Following the Iranian revolution and the debacle with the American captives there, America backed Saddam Hussein in the Iran-Iraq war. Did you know this? Our corporations provided him with the chemicals that were made into Saurin to use on Iranians and Kurds during that war. Our administration approved this or turned a blind eye at best.
When Saddam demonstrated he would no longer be controlled, he became an obstacle to western intentions in the Middle East. The pretext for killing him was 9/11 but hopefully, by now, we all know that was subterfuge. He had nothing to do with those attacks. Zero. Regime change was for control of oil ... Middle Eastern oil ... not our own.
My point here is that, with all the saber rattling going on from Israel, Iran and many leaders and would-be leaders in the U.S. — the people of these countries, can agree and state broadly that WE DO NOT WANT THESE WARS. We are tired of wars based on lies and false premises. We are tired of spending billions of dollars that funnel into corporations, and are used to kill innocent human beings. WE WANT OUR LEADERSHIP TO DO MORE!
Wage peace for a change. Get of the high horse, and take strong and intelligent action to weave bonds of understanding, respect — in a word, love — between the nations of this world.
Anyone against loving their fellow man? Anyone against allowing civilians around the world to raise their families and live their lives in peace?
We can all point fingers. It is easy to find bad guys in positions of power. No one here has a monopoly on virtue. It is time to live in the present ... to act in the present and to make your will for peace known.
I am adding a version of the sign from America. Feel free to drag it off, and repost to anyone you know.
