Crowds Gather To Watch Jiu-Jitsu Demonstration at TJMS Wellness Fair
"Jiu-Jitsu is an excellent way to improve fitness and develop self-control and self-confidence."

Coach Benjamin Salas and Coach Mark Cribb presented the art of Jiu-Jitsu at Thomas Jefferson Middle School (TJMS) on February 6th as part of the school Wellness Fair. Jiu-Jitsu training is simple; each class begins with exercises to improve fitness, then the practice of technique, and finally live “rolling” or sparring. Complete control or technical advantage without injury must be demonstrated for victory in a match. Jiu-Jitsu is one becoming on of the most popular martial arts in the world because of it’s emphasis on health and its safe training methods.
