PORT WASHINGTON, WIS -- Just about every major candidate out there is angling to secure your vote as quickly as possible ahead of the Tuesday, Nov. 8 general election.
And it seems like just about every one of them wants you to vote early. You may get an e-mail or see an ad in the newspaper or online urging you to vote early.
You may even want to vote early, but the people urging you to do it typically leave out one important detail: how to do it.

Early voting varies by municipality in Wisconsin, and after researching Patch.com communities, we've found that each one does it in a slightly different way. So we checked it out for Port Washington and found out how to do it.

The City of Port Washington will hold in-person early absentee voting for 4 weeks starting October 10th - November 4th at City Hall, 100 W. Grand Avenue.
Hours:
Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. daily.
To vote early by absentee ballot you must be a registered voter.
To check if you are currently registered, go to www.myvote.wi.gov or by contacting City Hall at 262-284-5585.
To vote in-person early by absentee ballot, you must provide Photo ID.
