Mere minutes from Madison, Wisconsin is a heart-of-American Industry kind of town called Janesville. Some very nice people involved with renaissance faires and historical reenactment thought that they could put together a modest little event in their own town. They thought they could get local businesses to stand behind them and then they could put on a show to entertain and educate the good citizens. Any extra money they might make would go to scholarships for local kids. Maybe donate some of the money to shelters after that. They have been succeeding for over five years and Bounding Main is proud to say that they are a part of this wonderful show.
There are reenactors, vendors, games, musicians and all of the things you might hope to see in an event such as this. Lords, ladies, knights, damsels, pirates, sailors - oh, heck - just a lot of people having a lot of fun! There will be vendors and demonstrations and a great deal to do and fun people to meet. Traxler park is centrally located and commands a delightful view of the river and acres of beautiful parkland. There will be plenty of good food and drink no matter what the weather!
The weather has been hard to predict so dress in layers! Just be prepared to have fun, particularly knowing that your admission fee is going to support some great scholarships and charities.
