Science for Everyone Series: Keeweenaw: Wisconsin's Last Great Apolitical Rift

Have you ever wondered if Wisconsin ever had volcanoes or major earthquakes? Dr. Bill Kean, professor emeritus in the geosciences department at UWM,will discuss the volatility of the Keweenaw region and share with you breath taking views from some of our fine state parks. Geologic forces have left us with some spectacular scenery, a large variety of building stones and great mineral wealth. Presentation is held at the Cedarburg Cultural Center.
