St. Baldrick's Head Shaving Event for Charity

Sheboygan Highland House is hosting a hair-shaving event to benefit the St. Baldrick's Foundation.  The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization, with the exception of the U.S. government.  The St. Baldricks foundation benefits infants, children, teens and young adults fighting cancer.

Nine-year old Sheboygan resident Anna Tarnowski will be the honorary child of the Sheboygan St. Baldrick's event.  Diagnosed with Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) at age 6, Anna has prevailed with her positive attitude and is currently in remission, actively participating in normal kid activities.  Tarnowski will sing a song with Whiskey Rabbit, a local country band who has donated their time and talent.  The band will take the stage around 3:00 p.m. upon completion of the head shaving.

The shavees collect pledges to get their heads shaved by volunteer stylists from Entourage Salon and Spa in Sheboygan but anyone can participate by simply making a donation during the event this Saturday at Sheboygan Highland House or by making an online donation on the secure St. Baldrick's Web site: http://www.stbaldricks.org/events/mypage/944/2012
