Hydrant Flushing Begins On October 18 In Village Of Saukville

The Saukville Water Department will be flushing hydrants throughout the Village Monday-Thursday, Oct. 18th - Oct. 21st & Oct. 25th - Oct. 28th between 8:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Any discoloration in your water is iron and is not harmful. Running your faucets for a short period of time after flushing in your area is complete will clear the lines. If discoloration occurs, we recommend that you do not do laundry. If you do laundry and your clothes have a reddish appearance, DO NOT DRY THE CLOTHES; rather rewash in cold water to remove the discoloration.

You may wish to bottle some water for drinking, cooking, etc. prior to the flushing period.
