On Sept. 17, police were called to Spot, 201 W. Grand Ave., Port, after it was reported someone had broken into the business. Upon arriving, officers found a Wisconsin Lottery machine and two empty liquor bottles on a pool table, the cash register drawer was out of the cash register and a piece of paneling had been removed from one of the walls after someone had removed an ATM machine from the bar. Also missing were several "good luck bills" from behind the bar along with pull tabs; four toll slot machines were also damaged from someone trying to break into them.

After inspecting the Wisconsin Lottery machine further, police discovered a drop of blood that was later traced back to Gallipeau. Surveillance video from the tavern also showed Gallipeau come into the bar and begin stealing items about a half hour after it had closed the night before.
