Memories Ballroom will be showing the musical children's show, The Bumbling Little Elf, December 22nd and 23rd, 2012.

Editor's note: The following information was taken from a press release provided by Memories Ballroom.
After serving as an entertainment destination forΒ more than 75 years, Memories Ballroom is presenting, for the first time inΒ its history, yet another form of entertainment, childrenβs theatre. Β InΒ addition to numerous activities as part of this morning of holiday fun,Β guests will enjoy Memoriesβ original, musical childrenβs show, TheΒ Bumbling Little Elf, December 22nd and 23rd, 2012.
Children age two and up will enjoy this charming and interactive musicalΒ play that emphasizes the value of kindness and inner strength. Mrs. ClausΒ has taken under her wing a young elf, named Bernard. Β Bernardβs bumblingΒ enthusiasm is endearing, but his ability to leave a wake of destructionΒ wherever he goes leaves him the subject of teasing and loneliness.

Through his comical, yet touching story, we discover that Bernard may notΒ be full of grace and poise, but he is full of a gentleness and love withΒ the special ability to share it with others. Perfect for the holidayΒ season, the story reminds children and adults alike of the importance ofΒ showing kindness to others and believing in oneself.
After the performance of The Bumbling Little Elf, children and adults willΒ be able to enjoy numerous holiday activity stations. Β Within the walls ofΒ the beautifully decorated ballroom, guests can make holiday crafts,Β decorate a delicious cookie, let their imaginations soar in the woodenΒ train play area, don the holiday spirit with face painting, write a letterΒ to Santa and more!
The likely highlight of the activities will be the chance to visit withΒ The Man in Red Himself, so be sure to bring your cameras! Β To fill theΒ rumbling tummies as the noon hour approaches, ala carte beverages, snackΒ and lunch items will be available for purchase in Memoriesβ lounge area.
Hoping to spread holiday cheer to the community, Memories has also pairedΒ up with a local toy drive, Kapcoβs βKids 2 Kids Christmasβ. GuestsΒ bringing in a new, unwrapped toy to PLAYtime will receive a free βJingleΒ Berry Fizzβ kids drink.
βI am absolutely thrilled to be a part of this new type of programming atΒ Memories,β said Heather Clayton, Memoriesβ new Artistic Coordinator asΒ well as author and director of the show. Β βWe are hoping this will justΒ be the beginning of childrenβs theatre programming at Memories. Β ProgramsΒ like this are such a wonderful way to introduce young children toΒ theatre, while also offering an opportunity for children and theirΒ families enjoying quality time together; away from computers, televisionΒ and electronic games. Β It really allows them to experience somethingΒ special with one another and to create endearing memories andΒ traditions.β
The cost of $10.00 per person (children and adults) includes: theΒ musical show, The Bumbling Little Elf, a cookie to decorate, Β holidayΒ crafts, access to the wooden train play area, face painting, anΒ opportunity to visit and take a photo with Santa, Mrs. Claus and the elvesΒ and LOTS of GREAT Memories!
