Mom's Night Out: Local Business Offers Weeknight Escape

Moms come in all shapes and sizes, and Dawgs in Motion owner Sue Richardson said the business' event on Thursday celebrates that in a unique way.

"We wanted to do something for Mother's Day ... something that you wouldn't expect a dog facility to hold for people, just something different," Richardson said of the Mom's Night Out event from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

Mom's Night Out takes a little different appeal, however, as having children isn't necessarily a requirement: the night gives time away for mom's of "two-legged or four-legged" creatures.

The event will take place inside the business, 580 N Dekora Wood Blvd, Saukville, and will feature chocolate samples, wine samples, beauty care samples and more.

"We're just doing it kind of like a ladies night thing, it's just on a smaller scale," she said.

The event costs $2, and anyone who pre-registers by Tuesday will be entered into a drawing for a dinner-and-movie gift certificate. Some participating businesses include: Allure Salon, Sweet Trio Chocolates, Mary Kay and Lighthouse Floral and Wine Gallery.
