NEWCASTLE PLACE TO HOST MEMORIES IN THE MAKING ART SHOWCASE

Event to feature art work created by Newcastle Place memory care residents

Newcastle Place, a full service senior living community in Mequon, invites members of the community to its Memories in the Making® art show and wine and cheese reception on April 9, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Newcastle Place located at 12600 N. Port Washington Road in Mequon.

For the past year, residents of the Memory Care Unit at Newcastle Place have participated in Memories in the Making®, a signature program of the Alzheimer’s Association. The program offers creative art expression for individuals with early to the middle stages of Alzheimer’s disease. Even after people with dementia have lost the ability to use words, they are able to paint their thoughts, emotions and memories in a manner that is expressive and beautiful, as art becomes their voice.

This event is free and open to the public. RSVP by calling Ashley at (262) 387-8884.
