PD: Early Harley Rides Irk Port Neighbor

A roundup of police reports also includes fly away furniture and a possible attempt to tip a port-o-potty.

An early morning bike ride is making a Port Washington neighbor upset.

The Port woman called police at 9:57 a.m. May 6 to complain about noise caused early in the morning because of a neighbor who leaves on his Harley, the police report said.

The woman wanted the neighbor to use a different vehicle, according to the report. Police advised her they could not tell the neighbor which vehicle to use.

Police said they would monitor the area to see whether the noise was unreasonable, the report said.

  • That's not right: A 64-year-old Port Washington woman called police at 5:41 p.m. May 8 to report that her recently replaced car battery was dead, according to police reports. The woman believes someone is tampering with her vehicle.
  • Fly away furniture: Port Washington police happened upon some lawn furniture at 8:12 p.m. May 9 that had blown into the roadway in the 500 block of North Webster Street, according to police reports. The furniture was returned to the property and weighted down.
  • That stinks: Police recieved a call at 5:56 p.m. May 10 about kids attempting to knock down the port-o-potty at the Skate Park, 336 North Moore Road, according to police reports. Police spoke with two boys who said they were "razzing" another boy inside. The boys denied attempting to knock it over.
