The Pirates lost to Shorewood on Friday in a WIAA Division 2 sectional semifinal.
Shorewood, the top seed in the WIAA Division 2 girls soccer regional, defeated Port Washington 3-0 on Friday afternoon at Shorewood.
Sunni Kessenich scored in the second minute to give the Greyhounds a quick lead, and Marissa Marti added a header off a Kessenich corner in the 29th minute. Early in the second half, Victoria Nelsen added an insurance goal on a long shot.
Shorewood faces Catholic Memorial or Pewaukee on Saturday for a trip to the state finals at Uihlein Soccer Park. Port Washington's season concluded with the loss.
