Port Council to Discuss Coal Dock Sublease Agreements
Annexation of land from the Town of Port Washington to the city also on Wednesday's agenda.

The Port Washington Common Council meets the first and third Tuesday of every month at 7:30 p.m. in the City Hall. This week, the meeting was rescheduled to Wednesday because of primary elections held at the City Hall on Tuesday.
The meetings are open to the public, and Wednesday's agenda includes these items:
- The Common Council will discuss sublease agreements between the city and We Energies providing public access to the north and south coal docks. The city has plans to develop the area into a park-like setting, and the agreements will provide a second route of access to south beach.
- Port Washington city officials had been hoping for a grant from the Wisconsin Coastal Management Program to pay for partial funding for a pedestrian bridge as part of the coal dock development. The grant committee told officials to reapply for funding in 2012. The city plans to discuss this issue at the meeting.
- The Finance and License Committee will present a capital assistance contract with the state Department of Transportation for a new taxi mini-van.
- A resident in the town of Port Washington is selling part of her land. The buyer plans to build a home on that land, and would like the new parcel along West Walters Street and adjacent to the Lake Ridge Subdivision to be part of the City of Port Washington.
