When police arrived, the 46-year-old Port Washington man was leaning against flower pots and attempted to identify himself with a pack of cigarettes. It took several tries before he presented his driverβs license. He asked for a ride home, and was transported home by a police officer. During the ride he called the officer vulgar names repeatedly, even after he was told he would be cited for disorderly conduct. When the officer walked the man to his door and gave him the citation, the man said he was just kidding. The officer informed him he was not kidding about the citation.
