Port Washington Police Report: 9-1-1 Oops and Playing Hooky

A roundup of the latest from the police reports.

Police responded to a report of an open-ended 9-1-1 call at 10:28 p.m. Saturday, and found a 20-year-old Kewaskum male in the area of Grand Avenue and North Park Street.

The man said the 9-1-1 call was a misdial, but police noticed that he had been drinking. He was cited for underage alcohol consumption.

  • Playing hooky: Police cited several students for habitual truancy after letters were recieved at noon on Friday explaining their absences. A 15-year-old Port High girl was cited for second offense truancy; a 17-year-old Port High girl and 16-year-old Port High boy were cited for third offense truancy; a citation for fifth offense truancy was issued to a 16-year-old Port High boy. Both of the male students' mothers were also issued citations for contributing to habitual truancy.
