Eat at Tellos Wednesday and Benefit the Special Olympics

Tellos Grill and Cafe Owner Angel Tello gives credit to the community for his ability to contribute to charities, saying, "Working together we make a big difference."

Owner Angel Tello said he doesn't know much about special olympics, but in addition to donating 10 percent of his business' sales to the cause Wednesday — he is going to personally match that donation.

"This is going to be a super good, fun adventure for myself and for my family," Tello said.

Tello said he hopes the day brings in $1,000 for the Ozaukee County Special Olympics, with the promotion ending from open at 6 a.m. to close at midnight.

Tello has had several other fundraisers before, including that supported a Port resident's run for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Some Tellos events have become annual, like their donations to breast cancer research in October.

Tello said he would like to see the special olympics fundraiser become a yearly event.

"Tellos is just an addition to the community for events like this," Tello said. "We do so very little; the community does the biggest part. Working together we make a big difference."
