Saukville Named Tree City For 23 Years

The Department of Natural Resources recognized Saukville's dedication to tree care, presenting the village with a Tree City USA flag.

It's been 23 years and Saukville has yet to leave behind its status as a Tree City.

The Department of Natural Resources Regional Urban Forestry Coordinator Oliva Witthun presented the village with a Tree City USA flag at Tuesday’s village board meeting in recognition of Saukville’s tree care achievements.  Saukville is one of 180 municipalities in the state to be named a Tree City.

"You’ve done a great job here," Witthun said.
