Saukville Village Board Drops Regular Meeting
Board decides to meet only once a month, rather than twice, to avoid brief meetings "becoming kind of a joke."

The Saukville Village Board met on Tuesday night for one of its regular twice-monthly board meetings, and voted unanimously to convene only once each month for the remainder of the year.
A string of short meetings in the past prompted the board's discussion about holding meetings only once a month.
Village trustee Bob Hamann said that the brief meetings — the last one only being nine minutes — "are becoming kind of a joke."

In the past, meetings were held the first and third Tuesday of each month. Now, the meetings will be held on the third Tuesday of the mont, meaning the village’s next meeting is 8 p.m. August 16.
Village Administrator Dawn Wagner added that the board could also call special meetings if something were to come up.
