White Squirrel Spotted On National Mall (Video)
The white squirrel was seen frolicking near the National Gallery of Art.

WASHINGTON, DC -- An "albino" squirrel has been spotted on the National Mall, and someone has the video to prove it.
The video (embedded below) was taken near the National Gallery of Art on Constitution Avenue between 3rd and 9th streets, according to the uploader, Twitter user MC Hammond.
This squirrel is most likely not a true albino, actually. Instead, it probably has a condition called leucism, which results in a partial loss of pigmentation -- but just to the fur, not the eyes, as would be the case in an albino squirrel. This is caused by a rare recessive gene.
