• Business owners express hopes for downtown Racine as supporting organizations split starting Oct. 1 (tmj4.com) — Downtown Racine's Business Improvement District and Downtown Racine Corporation will officially separate operations on Oct. 1, forcing the BID to build its own legal and financial structure. Local business owners say they want the split to still deliver strong support for recruitment, safety, cleanliness, and advocacy so downtown Racine can keep thriving.
   

• 'It was disgusting': Racine youth football player tripped by adult from opposing team (cbs58.com) — Racine's youth football community is demanding accountability after video shows a Milwaukee spectator stepping onto the field and tripping a Racine Eagles 10-U player during a game in Mount Pleasant. The child was not seriously hurt, but Racine coaches and families are seeking answers from league officials and law enforcement before the teams meet again in two weeks.
