2 Shorewood High School Students Named 2016 National Scholastic Art Award winners
They are now part of a group of historical winners that include such luminaries as Andy Warhol, Truman Capote, Richard Avedon and others.

SHOREWOOD - Two students from Shorewood High School were named 2016 National Scholastic Art Award winners and were selected from out of 320,000 works.
Cole Falkner, for his Photograph called "Off Balance," and Morgan Florsheim, for her Digital Art piece called "Movement," both earned silver medals for their outstanding work and awesome creativity.
According the Shorewood School District, earning a Silver Medal places the students within the top 1% of all submissions (320,000 works were submitted)! Great work, Cole and Morgan! #ShorewoodPride

Since the programβs founding in 1923, the Awards have fostered the creativity and talent of millions of students, including renowned alumni who have gone on to become leaders in their fields.

Cole and Morgan are now part of a group of historical winners that include such luminaries as Andy Warhol, Truman Capote, Richard Avedon, Philip Pearlstein, and Sylvia Plath. More recently, Stephen King, Richard Linklater, Zac Posen, and Lena Dunham received Scholastic Art & Writing Awards when they were teens.
That's some pretty impressive company. Congrats to Cole and Morgan!
