2-Year-Old Boy Dies in Apparent Opiate Overdose Case
A Milwaukee mother noticed her son was unresponsive. By the time first responders arrived, it was too late.

MILWAUKEE, WI — A 39-year-old Milwaukee woman has been arrested and faces suspicion of child neglect-causing death after the suspicious death of her two-year-old son.
According to the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's office, they are investigating an apparent opiate overdose-related death of a two-year-old boy on the 2700 block of N. 41st St. on Thursday.
According to a FOX 6 News report, the boy later identified by police as James Vessell, was found unresponsive by his mother around 5:30 p.m. She reportedly dialed 911, but first responders were unable to save the life of the child.
