2-Year-Old Found Dead Thursday Night; 3rd Case in Milwaukee in 10 Days

A second death was reported on Aug. 23, a third is also under investigation by authorities.

MILWAUKEE -- A two-year-old child has died in Milwaukee overnight, and it's the third toddler death in Milwaukee over the last 10 days, according to the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner.

Police are reporting that the death of a 2-year-old Milwaukee boy happened around 7:30 Thursday night near 13th and Green Bay Avenue.

According to a report by CBS 58, the young boy was found unresponsive after his mom put him down for a nap. She says he stopped breathing and his mom brought him to a house on 13th street, but by the time they got there the child was already dead.

Aug. 23

Milwaukee Police are investigating a sudden death that happened on August 23rd around 4:15 p.m. in the 2400 block of N. 40th Street. A two-and-a half year-old male was found deceased by family members. The circumstances of the incident are still being investigated. No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
