After a Mass in honor of St. Patrick, what better thing could the Shamrock Club do than go to the Irish Cultural and Heritage Center on Saturday, March 9 and have a traditional Irish Breakfast. For that to happen, there must be a volunteer group willing to prepare and serve it. The Pilot Club of Milwaukee jumped at the chance to raise funds this way to support their charitable endeavors. And they had fun doing it.
Some of the organizations the Pilot Club supports are: The Autism Society of SE Wisconsin, North Suburban Special Olympics, Alzheimer’s Assn. of SE Wisconsin, Guitars for Vets, The Center for Deaf/Blind Persons, Sojourner Truth House, Repairers of the Breach, Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Division, Very Special Arts Wisconsin, Vital Voices for Mental Health, Pearls for Teen Girls, Wisconsin Women's Health Foundation, and Downs Syndrome Association of Wisconsin. During the last ten years, the Pilot Club of Milwaukee has donated about $29,000 to various causes.
Pilot Club of Milwaukee is a service club in Pilot International. Since 1991, the service focus of Pilot International has been helping persons affected by brain related disorders.
