Police in Shorewood say an armed robbery suspect is on the run after holding up the Benji's Deli Tuesday night.

SHOREWOOD, WI — Police in Shorewood say an armed robbery suspect is on the run after holding up the Benji's Deli Tuesday night.
On Feb. 26 , at 8:40 p.m. Shorewood police squads were called to Benji's Deli, 4156 N.Oakland Ave., on a report of a robbery.
Shorewood police say that an unknown suspect approached an employee at the close of business hours demanding money and that the suspect implied he had a gun.

According to police, the suspect then fled the scene in a white vehicle that was waiting in the parking lot. Police did not say whether the man fled with money stolen from Benji's Deli.
Police say the suspect was wearing all dark clothes and a blue winter full face ski mask. Police say they do not have any more details about the suspect, and authorities are continuing to investigate.
