IMEA Honors JTHS Orchestra Students

Joliet Central High School students Elliot Cobb, Michnari Robinson, Cherise Young and Joliet West High School student Kathleen Patrick were recently honored as All-State musicians

Joliet Central High School students Elliot Cobb, Michnari Robinson, Cherise Young and Joliet West High School student Kathleen Patrick were recently honored as All-State musicians by the Illinois Music Educators Association (IMEA). These students, who are among the most advanced musicians in Illinois, will be competing in the Illinois All-State Band and Orchestra Competition.

The competition will be held Jan. 24-26 at the Peoria Civic Center, and the students will be accompanied by musical instructors, Mr. Michael Fiske and Mr. Peter Lipari.

Students participate in an audition process in order to be considered for this honor. Based upon results from the audition, musicians are invited to participate in the annual IMEA All-State Competitionin Peoria.
