JTHS Students Advance to IHSA Sectionals for Wrestling

Eight JTHS students have advanced to the IHSA Sectional wrestling meet that will take place on Feb. 8 and 9 in Moline, IL.

Students from Joliet West High School advancing to sectionals include Darvell Flag (106), 2nd place; Cory Winchell (120), 2nd place; Jayvin Bandy (132), 1st place; and Matt Robinson (138), 3rd place. The JWHS head coach is Joey Benefiel.

Students from Joliet Central High School advancing include Trayvon Zabala (120), 1st place; Drake Debenedetti (126), 3rd place; Stan Whiting (145), 3rd place; and Sharod Wilson (182), 1st place.  The JCHS head coach is Pat O’Connell.
