Buzz Cuts Going to Great Lengths to Fight Cancer
You don't need to be Rapunzel to help a cancer patient - just a little bit of long hair you're willing to give up - and a smile.

SHOREWOOD - Bald is beautiful. Buzzed is also beautiful. And adopting both hairstyles this week is a great way to support cancer patients.
If you've got seven inches of hair to spare - or more - you are the perfect person to participate in this year's Buzz Cuts for Cancer events this Wednesday at the Shorewood High School 1701 E. Capitol Dr., in Shorewood.
There is a lunch event where students can donate 7 or more inches of hair, which starts at 11:30am and goes until 12:40pm.
The Buzz Cuts event takes place in the Shorewood High School's arena at 3:30 and lasts for approximately an hour and a half.
Buzz Cuts typically raises more than $15,000 each year for the MACC Fund (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer) and in addition donates more than 300 inches of hair to Pantene Beautiful Lengths to make wigs for those who have lost their hair to cancer treatment.
The hair cut off at lunch is donated to Pantene Beautiful Lengths and all of the money raised goes to the MACC Fund. This event is a large part of the high school's accepting culture and impacts countless people each year.
