All are good reasons to be there Wednesday to share your insights.

Your co-hostΒ Jenny Steinman Heyden, Welcome New NeighborsΒ Program Director, will be there to give you a special goody bag and help you do all kinds of functional things like: register to vote (if you've moved, it's a good time to do this), sign up to volunteer, find your tax history online...or evenΒ get that special gift large size recycling kart just in time for the holidays.Β

Wednesday is a great night to gambol down the street to the Waxwing (4415 N Oakland), which is also celebrating a collaboration and hosting a Shop for a Cause night from 7-9pm.Β

Wednesday is just the tip of theΒ icebergΒ for the week - don more than a hat for Friday evening's Tree Lighting on the 4500 block of Oakland, and then have the kids pull you in a sleigh on Saturday for the Shop, Stop and Restore event all day.

Friday night in Kensington SquareΒ between the North Star Bistro and Thief Wine, you'll find the spot for the tree, treats, song, and rock 'n roll, of course!Β Here are your details:Β http://www.shorewoodwi.com/news-events/holiday-tree-lighting

Special guests are carolers from the Atwater Girl Scouts, and French carolers from Shorewood's own Alliance Francaise (don't ask Jenny Steinman Heyden to pronounce this, plez), plus treats, Santa, and the first community performance from the School of Rock.

All the information is at your fingertips on the Shorewood Business Improvement District (BID)Β website, and...shhhhhh... a sneak peek at the actual offers is hereΒ (shhh): (http://www.shorewoodwi.com/data/news/SSR2013Flyer.pdf)
