We checked out Red Cloud for the first time last night as it is right in our neighborhood. The atmosphere is fun; they offer indoor/outdoor seating options, and one wall is an open garage door to make you feel like you're outside. Their outdoor seating is pet friendly, which is nice. The beer selection is decent, and they have a small food menu.

Went to Cloud Red for the first time last night and was expecting a hipster bar and good drinks... but was not expecting such amazing food. Vietnamese sandwich was amazing. Love the atmosphere... very laid back and lovely touches from the linen napkins to the peonies in minimal vases along the bar. Can't wait to go back.

Met up with some friends at Cloud Red on a Friday night and I really enjoyed Cloud Red. It's a cool/casual atmosphere perfect for trying new beers and the food was good. Although the food took a little while to come to our table, we were out for relaxing evening so it did not matter too much. All of the workers were pleasant and friendly and helpful. I would go back for sure.

Cloud Red is a good new addition to the Shorewood bar scene. They did an amazing job of transforming the former Village Pub into an open and inviting modern space.
The beer selection is great as are the unique margaritas. The food menu is limited but everything we tried was delicious!
My advice is to go to Cloud Red if you want to grab drinks and maybe get some food if you get hungry. Do not go to Cloud Red if you are starving and looking for a traditional sit down restaurant with a dedicated waiter taking care of you.
All of the staff at Cloud Red seem to work as a team, but it starts with taking your order at the bar after that they will help carry drinks to your table, deliver your food to you and clear your table. Any server that walked by was always asking how we were doing and if we needed anything.
Overall Cloud Red exceeded our expectations, we can't wait to go back to see what new beers and food options might appear on the menu! Maybe even some pulled pork Nachos?!?!

New and definitely an upgrade from the village pub. The beer menu is great, the lack of a server staff was a little odd. "We want to be a bar with good food" we were told. In my mind at $12 for a burger without fries that I have to order myself, 'alrighty then.' Our artichoke dip appetizer took 30 minutes. During which time we watched others cancel order after order. My burger and my wife's sandwich, almost an hour after we finished our app still hadn't arrived.
When I asked the status the server told me that the kitchen was behind and that we said we wanted time inbetween courses. This place had maybe 25 people there mostly drinking and I specifically said 5-10 minutes inbetween would be perfect.
Any hour and a half for pub food when no one else was there is ridiculous. To have the server even try to say that we asked for an HOUR inbetween the appetizer and meal is ridiculous. We took our food to go my wife was so upset. Our expectations were completely grounded but to wait and hour and a half to simple get a burger is insanity. To spent $75 on top of it even adds to the beat down. The appetizer was excellent, the beer selection great, the burger was culvers at best ( even butter can't save overcooked) and my wife said she's not hungry. Awesome experience, not. Lol
