Dan Jansen Guest Speaker at Boy Scout Breakfast Fundraiser Community Leaders Rally To Support Scouting

(MILWAUKEE)— Olympic gold medalist Dan Jansen will speak about his
life experiences in relation to Scouting at an April 2 gathering of business
and community leaders here.



Jansen, a Wisconsin native and former
Boy Scout, will address the annual Leadership Breakfast which showcases new
programs and traditionally successful programs of the Three Harbors Council,
Boy Scouts of America.



More than 400 people are expected to
attend the event at the Pfister Hotel, which is also one of the Three Harbors
Council’s biggest
fund raisers of the year.

Three Harbors Council’s
comprehensive platform of programs helps fill the various character educational needs for local
youth. These programs provide quality, life-changing opportunities and training
in leadership to youth in Kenosha, Milwaukee and Racine counties.

  • 538 community organizations partnerships

    experimented in an innovative summer STEM program
  • 12,292 ADVANCEMENTS and 7,053 merit badges were
    awarded to Scouts
  • 180,000 pounds of food were collected during
    SCOUTING FOR FOOD
  • 145 Scouts earned the highest rank of EAGLE
    SCOUT
  • 26,000 hours of COMMUNITY SERVICE for Eagle
    projects were performed by more than 3,000 youth and adult volunteers
  • Thousands of youth learned self-reliance in the
    OUTDOORS at four state-of-the-art camps
  • Almost 10,000 students—71%
    who live in the nine lowest income-level zip codes—learned
    CHARACTER, CAREER AND LIFE SKILLS through the Learning for Life program
