No matter what our lifestyle choices are, day-to-day activities and physical training can take its toll on the soft tissues of our bodies. Our muscles get sore, tight, achy, overused, or irritated. Sometimes stretching alone is not enough to release tension in our muscles. This can be addressed by learning to use a foam roller and tennis ball. You will use a foam roller and ball to give yourself a deep tissue massage that addresses just βthe spotβ in your body that feels bothersome. In this 90-minute workshop you will learn techniques to perform a self-massage or myofascial release, address trigger points, soothe tight fascia, increase blood flow and circulation to the soft tissues and perform gentle stretches. By lengthening our short or tight tissues we can aim to prevent physical imbalances that predispose us to injury and also help us to recover from physical workouts. Join us afterwards for wine and cheese!
