Driver Tipped Semi Carrying 31,000 Pounds Of Paper: Report
Officials in Ozaukee County say the accident tied up lanes of I-43 on Tuesday morning.

OZAUKEE COUNTY, WI -- Highway traffic on I-43 was snarled Tuesday morning after authorities say the driver of a semi truck rolled his vehicle containing more than 31,000 pounds of paper.
According to the Ozaukee County Sheriff's office, at just after 8 a.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to a semi-tractor trailer rollover accident on I-43 south of Highway D in the Town of Belgium.
Deputies on the scene said the accident stretched across the freeway, blocking both lanes of southbound traffic.

Authorities said the driver, a 61 year old man licensed through Ohio, was temporarily trapped and had to be extricated by Belgium Fire and Rescue first responders. He was transported to
Aurora Hospital in Grafton with non-life threatening injuries. The semi tractor was a 2018 Freightliner, hauling a trailer containing approximately 31,000 pounds of paper products.
Law Enforcement temporarily shut down southbound I-43 while the Wisconsin State Patrol and Sheriff’s Office personnel investigated the crash.

A joint investigation with the Wisconsin State Patrol and the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office is in progress to determine the cause of the accident. Southbound I-43 was re-opened just after 10 a.m. when the semi was cleared from the freeway.
