Hunter's criminal complaint states that at approximately 9:04 p.m., a fellow Shorewood officer located the vehicle traveling and initiated a high risk traffic stop on the vehicle at 4140 N. Oakland Avenue.

Bayside police assisted with the high risk traffic stop and Hunter was removed from the vehicle. Police observed two small children in the vehicle, one several months old in a car seat and another approximately three years old standing on the back seat, the complaint stated.

Police say once Hunter was taken into custody, police detected a strong odor of THC emanating from him, also noting that he had very slow drawn out speech.

Hunter agreed to perform field sobriety tests and did so poorly, exhibiting multiple clues of impairment and poor balance during the walk and turn and one leg stand tests, police stated.

Based on these observations, police say Hunter was believed to be impaired.

According to the complaint, several items of drug paraphernalia were located in the vehicle including baggies, a grinder and two spoons. Police conducted a search of Hunter and recovered a small bindle of brown crystalline substance in the defendant’s pocket.

Police stated the brown substance was tested, and came back positive for the presence of Heroin with a weight of 0.46 grams.
