Entenmann's Recalling 4 Products in Wisconsin for Potential Choking Hazard
It's worth taking a look at your box of Entenmann's Little Bites brownies after the company has issued a voluntary recall.

WISCONSIN — You may have put an Entenmann's treat in your child's lunch for school today, or you may have a package sitting in your kitchen pantry, but it's worth taking a look at your box of Entenmann’s Little Bites brownies after the company has issued a voluntary recall of several snack foods in Wisconsin.
The recall was prompted after customers told the company about finding “small pieces of plastic" in their brownies and muffins. One injury was reported, the company said. The plastic pieces could cause choking or cutting hazards, the company said. Affected products were shipped to numerous grocery stores.

Bimbo Bakeries said the contamination was caused by "a manufacturing failure at a contract manufacturer’s bakery in Illinois,” according to a media release. Bimbo, operated by Mexico-based Grupo Bimbo, is the largest bakery company in the United States.

The recall affects four Little Bites products shipped to retail stores over the past two weeks.
Products included in the recall are:
- Entenmann’s Little Bites Fudge Brownies, 5 pack, 9.75 ounces – Recalled packages have the best by date of Oct. 8, 2016/3098 and the UPC code of 7203001342. They were solid in the following states: Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Dakota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Virginia, Vermont, Wisconsin and West Virginia.
- Entenmann’s Little Bites Chocolate Chip Muffins, 5 pack, 8.25 ounces – Recalled products have the best by date of Oct. 8, 2016/3098 and the UPC code 7203001353. The product was distributed in the following states: Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, Vermont, Wisconsin and West Virginia.
- Entenmann’s Little Bites Chocolate Chip Muffins, 10 pack, 1 pound 0.5 ounces – Recalled packages have the best by date of Oct. 8, 2016/3098 and the UPC code 7203002111. Products were shipped to Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, Ohio and Wisconsin.
- Entenmann’s Little Bites Variety, 20 pack, 2 pounds 2.5 ounces – The recalled products have the best by date of Sept. 24, 2016/ 3098 and the UPC code of 7203001799. They were shipped to Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, North Dakota, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin and West Virginia.
Consumers who have purchased potentially contaminated products are advised to dispose of them or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
