Join us for a community art event for children, youth and families. Artists Kirsten Christianson and Wendy Cooper will teach handmade papermaking (Sunday-Wednesday) and collage techniques (Thursday), and you’ll create items to take home, along with paper that will be used in a community art mural. No artistic expertise or previous experience needed! Attend one night or multiple nights as your schedule allows.
Sunday-Wednesday sessions: Papermaking. Participants will learn the art of making paper from Door County papermarking artist Kirsten Christianson. Participants will have the chance to make handmade paper items to take home. They will also have the opportunity to contribute words and ideas for the community art mural.
Thursday session: Collage Projects. Participants will work on collage projects using beautiful handmade papers and materials from the mural-making project. These images will be used as announcements for the community art piece.
For adults and families with children ages 3-15. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult (parent, grandparent, etc.).
