Join us March 2 between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. for a Community Read-a-thon to celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday and the joys of reading.  Whether you stay for a short time or the entire day, there will be plenty of ways to celebrate your love of reading.  As part of our celebration, we will be counting number of readers in the library that day, total number of minutes read, and total number of pages read. Throughout the day we will be joined by celebrity readers including WTMJ4’s Jessie Garcia, CBS 58’s Jessica Tighe, ComedySportz’s Dick Chudnow, Author/Illustrator Andy Rash, Tweed Funk vocalist/guitarist J.D. Optekar, and the Admiral’s mascot Roscoe. There will also be refreshments, prize drawings and more.  So . . .

Help us count pages. Help us count time,

Read a big book or just one little rhyme.

Stay a few minutes or stay the whole day.

                Celebrate reading the Shorewood way!
