SHS Drama presents Avenue Q-School Edition

The Shorewood High School Drama Dept. presents Avenue Q-School Edition, Friday, Feb. 17 at 8PM; Saturday, Feb. 18 at 8PM. Avenue Q won the 2004 Tony Award for Best Musical.

Avenue Q is a coming-of-age tale set in New York City, performed by live actors and almost-life-sized puppets. All the puppets used in the shows were created especially for the SHS performances.

In addition, a children's event will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m.

Children will get a backstage and onstage look at the production, see the orchestra pit, meet puppet makers, and the production's music director and choreographer.

Student actors will be on hand to sing a few songs and demonstrate how they sing, dance and act with their puppets.

Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
