Sojourner Family Peace Center’s 10th Annual ‘AWEAR’ Fashion Show & Fundraising Event

Sojourner Family Peace Center, a nonprofit organization committed to breaking the cycle of family violence, is holding its largest annual fundraising event. The 10th annual AWEAR fashion show event will be held from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at the Harley-Davidson Museum.

The event begins with a reception and silent auction, and during this time, guests can also participate in a designer purse raffle and wine pull, and enjoy a free make-up touch-up provided by Blush Beauty. The main program begins at 7:45 p.m. and includes a live auction and an energetic runway fashion show featuring looks from  five area retailers. A short presentation will include testimonials from local domestic violence survivors and Milwaukee community leaders committed to the cause.

Individual tickets are $95. Exclusive runway tables, featuring premier seating for four and complimentary champagne, are available for $700. Tickets and tables can be purchased online athttp://www.familypeacecenter.org/get-involved/events.htm. All proceeds benefit Sojourner Family Peace Center’s many programs designed to break the cycle of family violence in the Milwaukee area, including Sojourner Truth House (crisis shelter), the 24-Hour Domestic Violence Hotline, the Restraining Order Clinic in the Milwaukee County Courthouse, services for children and the Beyond Abuse program.
