From Hollywood to Holy Wood, A Shabbat Experience
Chabad of the East Side to Host Emmy Award Nominee Screenwriter David N. Weiss
Experience Shabbat with Hollywood screenwriter David N. Weiss! Emmy Award Nomninee David Weiss will be coming to Milwaukee to share his story and help people see the meaning that Judaism brings to an oft-seeming meaningless world.
On Friday, February 20th, there will be a gourmet 4-course dinner & lecture, beginning at 6:00 pm. Weiss will be speaking about “A Shrek of a Trek.” Hear David’s hilarious and inspiring tales of his wacky journey from secular Jew to dynamic Christian youth leader to blockbusting screenwriter and observant Jew. For the children, there will be an exciting “Shabbat Adventure” program with games, prizes, and fun for everyone.
On Saturday, February 21st, there will be a Kiddush luncheon & lecture, beginning at 12:00 pm.
Entitled “Why Pray When I Can Worry?”, Weiss will share high pressure production stories, sprinkled with a bit of wisdom from our sages, that will help you laugh away some stress and regain a touch of sanity.
