The Impact of Academia on Our Daily Lives ... $1.2 Trillion in College Debt

Before the Ivory Tower set increases its impact on our daily lives and policy decision making, they need to get their own house in order.

Nuf said, really.

Until this nation’s institutions of higher learning cease to be the albatross around the collective neck of the current and future generations of college graduates and start to address their responsibility in contributing to the nation’s declining standard of living, it becomes impossible to suggest, seriously, that those who populate and run those institutions need to be looked to for guidance in solving society’s problems as a whole.

Naturally, some suggest that the solution is for the government to step in and make education more affordable by adjusting interest rates.

But in reality this does nothing to address the astronomically soaring costs associated with higher education.
