IndependenceFirst Stride & Glide 5K and family-friendly fitness event
A family oriented fitness event benefiting IndependenceFirst, a nonprofit organization focused on helping those with disabilities.
IndependenceFirst is hosting the sixth annual Stride & Glide, a family-friendly indoor/outdoor fitness event on February 28 at the Milwaukee County Zoo. Activities include: outdoor 5K run, wheelchair or walk (5K run and wheelchair races are chip timed), 1-mile family friendly scavenger hunt walk, indoor Zumba and kids’ activities. Registration starts at 7:30 a.m. with 5K Run & Walk at 8:30 a.m. and other activities throughout the morning. Check www.strideandglide.org for full schedule. Stride & Glide supports the services and advocacy that IndependenceFirst provides for people with disabilities.
You can participate as an individual or with a team. Participants have the option to pay a fee or fundraise the registration fee to support IndependenceFirst. All participants will receive a commemorative long-sleeved t-shirt. Zoo admission and parking are included.

Registration fee: $30 for adults/youth (ages 12+) before Feb. 13, 2015 ($35 after Feb. 13) or $15 for youth (ages 3-11). Kids 2 and under are free, and strollers are welcome except on the 5K course.
