Kohl's Art Generation Family Sundays event this weekend!
Looking for ways to spend time with your kids this summer? On Sunday, July 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. the Milwaukee Art Museum welcomes the public to participate in Kohl’s Art Generation Family Sundays: Make It Modern, a fun, family-friendly event that brings art to life.
Visitors are invited to create fun, unique art projects inspired by the artworks in the Museum’s feature exhibition Van Gogh to Pollock: Modern Rebels. They will have the opportunity to explore lines, shapes and colors as they paint with unusual tools and even build an abstract sculpture. Get to know three local artists—Dena Nord, Tyanna Buie, and Melissa Dorn Richards. Families can also enjoy dance performances by the Milwaukee Ballet and Tessa’s Black Entertainment & Youth Center—and more!

While at the Museum, kids and families can drop by the Kohl’s Art Generation Studio and enjoy a fun, interactive space designed to foster an appreciation for art through hands-on projects—which is currently open every day the Museum is open. This space is made possible through $6.3 million from Kohl’s Cares to the Milwaukee Art Museum.
